  14. Strategic Plan for ARRL to be Developed
  15.  
  16. Members of the ARRL Board of Directors gathered in Savannah,
  17. Georgia, on May 6 and 7 to begin developing a strategic plan to
  18. guide the ARRL in preparing for the opportunities and challenges of
  19. the twenty-first century.  The ARRL Long Range Planning Committee
  20. had recommended that because of the importance of strategic
  21. planning, the effort should be initiated separate from the regular
  22. business of a Board meeting.  The process that was begun in Savannah
  23. will be continued with the objective of completing a draft plan by
  24. the end of 1994.
